~Fate Happens

11/24/12

Well so blog world..This will be  an emotional post so if you don't feel like getting a dear diary story..Log off now!! lol.

So it all started with this amazing guy named Andrew and work!! Go figure...Soooo I believe it all started in the beginning of March 2012. I was working a normal day at Target in the cosmetic dept for my company called Boots and I was a training some one new in that store, I'm the Area Manager for Boots..so I hire and train everyone. Anyways on this day me and the beauty advisor were training and having a great day..this boy walks by and walks past the aisle and stops and comes back..He's got this look on his face and he say's "who are you guys and what happened  to the other lady!? His face was so cute as he said this and was so interested into what we were doing. He was very funny and always had this huge smile on his face.

I remember feeling like he brought so much happiness to everyone he came in contact with.Well anyways that day he must have came by atleast 5 or 6 times. I could definitely tell that he liked me from the start. So later that day..I told my beauty advisor to walk by him to go to the wine aisle. We did and of course he was more then happy to leave electronics to go over and shop with us. :) As we were over there he started to talk to a guest about that he was from Fort Collins, Colorado..and he missed it so much and he missed all his family and the weather and all the cool stuff that there is to do there. So I asked him why he was here if all his family was there...I come to find out he's a recovering Alcoholic!! He had been in recovery for a little over a year...WOW did that blow my mind..at that point in my life I had been meeting so many people that were in recovery it was crazy!

So Andrew started to tell everyone around the store that he was going to ask me out on a date!! HAHAHAHAHa I laughed when I started to hear everyone telling me that..I was like "What in the world does this little 22 year old boy have to offer me"!! I have a 3 year old child and I'm very independent! (Ohhhh man was I wrong.) So Andrew finally got up the nerve and called me and left me a message asking me out.( It was by far the cutest massage I have ever recieved...he was so nervous and said a hundred times that he really wanted to go with me but it I didn't that was ok.

So of course me being me... I agree to go out with him...I mean hey I was like he's really cool and funny..if anything we could be friends. So I met him at his house and he introduced me to all his room mates and he took me downtown to Atlantic ave. So first we went to this little park right on the inter coastal where there were benches and you could walk and talk..there were cruise ships that you could go on day trips and things like that too. Such a beautiful place. Well so we went there and sat right near the water where are feet could almost hang off if we wanted to. We sat there and talked for hours. I was so interested into getting to know him and hearing all about his life story and how a 22 year old gets to be in recovery, I thought that was only for older people! WOW...you just have no clue what a hard life he faces inside his own body..he didn't have a hard life at all actually though..Which I tell you all about his family later one. But I remember just sitting there thinking about how hard it must be to be in his head. He was dealing with depression and Alcoholism all at the same time. I just couldn't imagine feeling what he had felt.

So we had some really deep conversations about everything and about his life and everything. We decided to go to get ice cream and meet a friend of both of ours that was in from out of town that we knew from Target. So as soon as we walked into the ice cream shop there was this little stand of personalized cups...if you know me, you know I love coffee cups in general and it had names on it..WHATT!!! So I go to look for my name on one of the cups...Right there clear as day were the cups...lined up perfectly...JESSICA JORDAN...My first and last name. I got chills all down my body! How in the world would that have happened...This was just to crazy to be a condescension!!  Right then and there I knew this was fate and we were exactly where we were suppose to be in life. Fate has a funny way of popping up when you least expect it!
